MELAKA, March 15 (Bernama) -- Melaka MCA chief and Machap state assemblyman Datuk Wira Poh Ah Tiam died of renal failure at the Pantai Hospital in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. He was 55.Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Ali Rustam said Poh, who also suffered from cancer, died at the private hospital's intensive care unit at about 6pm, with his family members at his bedside.Poh was treated at the hospital for about a month, he told reporters when met at the hospital.His body has been taken to his residence at No 9, Jalan Bachang Baru, here.Poh, who is state executive councillor for housing and local government, environment and transportation, has been Machap assemblyman since 1999.In the last general election, he defeated DAP's Liou Chen Kuang by a 4,562-vote majority.-- BERNAMA
